My childhood was ripe with the magnificence of thoughtful gestures and the unique details that make fellowship with family and friends so special. Houston Country Club, gulf coast cuisine, Juneteenth celebrations, and debutante balls each serve as a springboard to our adventures throughout the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe.
I’ve been thoroughly blessed with intergenerational bonds that have been undeniably influential. My grandmother was committed to nurturing moments in which we felt appreciated. And my grandfather’s long career as Chief of Catering offered a kaleidoscopic palette to expand our tastes. The Brunch Box is born from these memories and the abundance of future adventures.

My father’s 70th birthday travel plans to South Africa were unfortunately canceled, and although we are close, I didn’t have the faintest idea about how we might celebrate this significant milestone. Dena crafted a selection of items that referenced his globe trotting spirit so thoughtfully that he’s got his eye on his next journey to Ghana. It was like a passport in a box!
